What do you think? should we bring it back or leave it dead?
I feel like we have quite a few people call about this blankie when we put it on the site just as a picture. Personally, I think it is a very pretty blanket.

Check these little ones out! How cute… and from this photo you can see how each of them have their own separate personality.
Trey, Reid, Cameron and Brady are the beautiful children of one of our best fans, Casey. She sent us this picture of the Quads, when she was reminded of the blankets she received a year ago, while visiting our site for another personalized baby blanket.

Thank you Casey!
Casey, is not just a mom or Fill In The Blankie fan. She is also one of our favorite mom bloggers.

I am a blankie by limes n’ coconuts
I am a blankie!
I wonder what I did to deserve you?
I hear your lonely cries and soothe them.
I see your dreams and fend off the night.
I want to always be here for you.
I am a blankie!
I pretend to be real.
I feel so alive when you cuddle me close.
I touch your soft cheek and make you complete.
I worry one day you may no longer need me.
I cry thinking of the day you outgrow me.
I am a blankie!
I understand I have a job to do.
I say I’ll be there for you through thick and thin.
I dream of you holding me for all of my years.
I try to believe you will always need me.
I hope this is true.
I am a blankie!

Monday night I am sitting at a girlfriends house and she is desperately missing her pup that is spending a doggy vacation at her parents ranch. Her anecdotes about sweet Sohpie eventually led to going through the nostalgic box of puppy toys like a skunk and bumble bee outfit she wore as a small puppy. Then, they appeared, hand made doggie blankets. Yes, personalized blankets that she and her grandmother had made from scratch. Each one she held up reminded her of a year and a size that her pup was at the time.
Blankets are a great way to not only remember your human children but also for your furry children. I think if Sophie had a blanket from us it would say:
Sophie Taylor
Your sweet and gentle nature
is loved by all.
May you always ride shot-gun!

The Howard family blog rang on my thoughtful meter today and I thought I would share this sweet story with you all. I think its absolutely beautiful how sweet and thoughtful a child can be without even knowing.
“”Our sweet 5 year old.
We did some singing before bed tonight, starting with a few that he knew from Sunday school, and ending with Jesus Loves Me. As we sang, “Jesus loves me, this I know” he interjected with a contended sigh, “This is the best song ever.”
As I scratched his back (a nightly ritual since he’s been about 3 years old- sorry to whoever his future wife is
), I got up to leave, and he asked for the first time in 2 years, “Do you want me to scratch YOUR back, Mom?”"”
His blanket would read:
Side 1: Noah Howard
Side 2: Jesus loves me this I know
Side 3: From his shining throne on High
Side 4: Comes to watch me where I lie

“Opening the door for someone else, helping around the house or just thinking about the needs of others’ is a hoot. Heck, you might even get to wear an apron! Here’s a neat-o movie to show you how fun being thoughtful can be!”
I love old movies! Check out this video I found on Condensedmovies.com . I thought it was a fun way to resort to traditional means of thoughtfulness.

With pink text and gift bag…

August 23rd, 2007
Even with the very best of intentions — finding the perfect words to define a moment is no easy task, right?
We know — as our business is all about providing thoughtful gift givers like YOU — the opportunity to gift a fully customized baby blanket — so much so — that’s almost like crafting the perfect Hallmark card.
But, luckily over the past several years — we continued to be WOWED with the variety of copy solutions that some of our ultra thoughtful gift givers (that truly have a God given talent to write) have crafted to best express their warmest wishes on their baby blanket orders.
So — thought this might be a cool forum to share some of those that have caught our eye (and hit a spot in our heart) + open it up to anyone else that’s up for submitting some great “words to snuggle and live by.”
The Challenge is simple:
You have 4 lines to work with — and 50 characters per line. 200 Characters total (including spaces).
Give it a stab — the more suggestions/submissions the better…
Best case scenario — this thread serves as a creative outlet for some and a source of inspiration for others!
So — hop to it — and FILL IN YOUR BLANKIE!

I think many of us have a preconceived notion of a personalized baby blanket should look like. You’re likely visualizing a blanket — photographed from a magazine that says “Ethan” and underneath it — it might even have his birth date on it “03-02-00″ — right?
We’ll with up to 50 character per side, you can not only include their name and birth date, but actually go as far as telling a story along all 4 satin edges AND STILL have room to include the date you “gifted” the blankie. (see below)

Need help coming up with some creative text to add to your blanket?
We’ve come prepared! Feel free to check out any of these sections below;

Brownie (the pig) has stolen the lime light for years. Pig In A Blankie this and Pig In A Blankie that…
Seems only fair to give his puppy pal — some well deserved props and intro every once in a while.
So — with no further to-do; we’re pleased to present “Hush Little Puppy”
Tonight — you’ll see this fluffy K-9 is sporting a super comfy “Hazel’s Pride & Joy” in Lakefront Blue.
As you can see — he’s dressed to impress and hopes to find a companion soon that sweep him off his paws and into their arms.
