Baby Shower + Food Pantry = Communtiy Love

The East End Cooperative Ministry’s Food Pantry came up with a baby shower idea that got the whole community involved. Cake was offered to those who dropped off baby items to help children in need.

“When you’re struggling to get by, $25 a week for a can of baby formula takes a gigantic bite out of your household budget.” says Kate Snyder, Development and Donor Communications Coordinator.

This idea led to thousands of baby products being donated and very successful baby shower.

Children should never be in need of basic necessities and I think this is one community that absolutely agrees.
