Top Ten Trendiest Baby Shower Games

1. The Price is Right Game:  This is quite similar to the TV Show. Gather some baby Items from the store and keep the receipt. At home write the price of each item you bought and place it in an envelope. The person who collects the most cards without going over wins the game.

2. The Baby Shower Scramble: Decide on 10 words that are baby related and scramble the letters. (aybb = baby) Print out multiple copies for your guests and give them 5 minutes to un-scramble

3. It’s a Whopper: It’s a game where you try to match words that pertain to pregnancy, birth, etc. to candy bars. Example: umbilical cord = twizzlers, contractions = whoppers, etc…….

4. Quick Draw: Give each of your guests a paper plate and a crayon. Have each person take the paper plate and place it on their heads while drawing a baby with the crayon you gave them. Have the mommy-2-b pick the winner. Everyone will crack up with laughter at the thought of having to draw on their heads.

5. Estimated Time Of Birth: Buy the little plastic babies you can find at cake stores and put them in an ice tray with water in the freezer. Put one iced baby in each person’s cup of water and ask them to log their estimated time of birth for the iced baby. Once the ice completely melts the baby is born and the person with the closest estimated time wins.

6. Family Tree: Give your guests a list of famous television families and ask them to name the children. Examples: The Waltons, Growing Pains, Brady Bunch, Leave It To Beaver…etc.

7. Baby Shower Taboo: Every guest receives a safety pin when they arrive. The instructions that come with the pin are that they cannot mention certain word throughout the time of the shower (like baby, mommy, pregnant) or the person who catches the word gets the pin(or pins) This encourages your guests to mingle because whoever has the most pins at the end of the shower wins.

8. Memory Lane: use a regular school binder (3 ring) and decorated with baby material, lace, etc. I purchased scrapbook sheets with baby motifs and inserted them in sheet protectors and placed them inside the binder. Be sure to purchased enough sheets to give the mother plenty of pages to post pictures, birth announcements, etc. Then prepare several sheets of paper that have a baby border or baby graphic. As each guest arrives or at sometime during the party, ask each guest to write down some helpful hints, baby advice, words of encouragement to the mother or the baby to be, including their name and their relationship to the mother and the baby to be. Collect these sheets, insert them into sheet protectors and insert them into a baby memory album. This will be something both the mother and the baby will enjoy throughout their lives and will be a very treasured gift.

9. What Will You Call The Baby?: Make a list of all the animals you can think of and get your guests to fill out what the names of the baby animal would be. For example, Kangaroo – Joey.

10. Famous Babies: Go through the latest magazines and cut out pictures of babies.  Then cut out the just the faces of a variety of famous people (no hair or necks just the faces) and paste them to the baby bodies. Have your guests try to figure out who is who just by looking at their faces on the baby body.
