Sonya wanted to set the record straight...when we told her about "sheeting" making recent national headlines... She laughed out loud!  So here we are, trying to do our civic duty to help educate our customers on this whole conumdrum...of sheets.

The quality of the yarn is related to the length of the cotton fiber... in other words, the longer the cotton fiber, the smoother, stronger, finer fabric it can become.

Personalized Baby Gift Construction: Our sheeting manufacturer knows weaving and yarn as the vinter understands grapes... or in our case... as Sonya knows her blankies!  We leave the construction of our sheeting to the experts - those who have an old history and knowledge of their craft.  Although Sonya's asked, they tell us it's a "trade secret" (of course we understand that) - but we're glad to say that our customers and the ultimate kiddos who receive our blankies are the beneficiaries!

Baby Gifts Finishing:  After the cotton has been selected, spun and woven into cloth... the process doesn't stop there.  We use mercerized sheeting (which simply means that the fibers are "plumped," giving the fabric greater sheen and strength).  State -of-the-art finishing brings out the softest, smoothest and sleekest of naps (the "feeling" kind, not the "sleeping" kind).  The end result?  A luxurious difference you can feel - sheets that are woven, just like our traditional blankies, with the luxury of a fine heirloom.

The definition of thread count is a contentious one, and rather than continue to bore you with the minute details, we want to reassure you we base our products on not only how they "look and feel", but more so how they will hold up to being made into a cape, a tent, a skirt or drug along with mom and dad during the boring-est of errands.
